2200 ARAPAHOE • DENVER CO
Activated by Light presents a series of paintings viewed under shifting, sequenced lighting that amplifies and alters the relationships between color, form, and space. Planes advance and recede. Portals open and deepen. Edges soften, then sharpen. Colors appear to vibrate and bleed into one another across defined, hard borders. Light seems to emanate from within the paintings inviting your attention, reflection, and discovery as the works reveal the powerful and mesmerizing interactions of color.

Jeremy Roth is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work is rooted in a sustained exploration of color, perception, and the emotional resonance of light. Drawing from decades of experience working with light in theater, music, and constructed environments, Roth creates paintings that come alive in the viewer’s gaze, inviting attention, reflection, and discovery as the works reveal the powerful interactions of color as alive and in motion.
His studio practice is grounded in extensive experimentation and observation, seeking to create moments of intensity and magic. Color becomes both the subject and the experience, offering the viewer a space for reflection, wonder, and engagement.
